Role Overview
We are looking for a forward-thinking QA Tester who combines traditional manual testing skills with modern AI-driven QA practices. In this role, you will leverage generative AI tools to accelerate test case creation, analyze requirements, and generate synthetic test data, while applying human critical thinking to conduct deep exploratory testing, validate edge cases, and ensure product quality.
Responsibilities
- AI-Powered Test Planning: Utilize generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Jira AI extensions) to draft initial test cases, identify requirement gaps, and build complex synthetic test datasets.
- Exploratory & Functional Testing: Perform deep exploratory testing, usability evaluations, and edge-case validations that require human intuition and user empathy.
- Defect Discovery & AI Triage: Identify, log, and track software bugs. Leverage AI tools to perform root-cause analysis, cluster similar issues, and write clear, reproducible steps for developers.
- API & Database Validation: Validate REST APIs using tools like Postman and execute basic SQL queries to verify backend data integrity.
- Verification & Audit: Review AI-generated test cases for accuracy, hallucinations, and coverage gaps, ensuring test suites align with actual business requirements.
- Agile Collaboration: Participate in sprint ceremonies, providing feedback on acceptance criteria and sprint risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, or equivalent practical QA experience.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience testing web and mobile platforms.
- Experience using LLMs and AI QA extensions (e.g., prompt engineering for test generation, test data creation, or requirement analysis).
- Strong grasp of SDLC, STLC, test design techniques, and exploratory testing methodologies.
- Proficiency with bug-tracking and test management platforms (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or Jira AI plugins).
- Basic SQL skills (SELECT, JOINs) and API testing experience (Postman/Swagger).
- Ability to evaluate AI outputs critically, identifying missing edge cases or logical flaws.
